Melon Patch Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
The short version:
🏡 Your garden and progress are stored only on your device — we run no accounts and no game servers.
📵 We do not collect names, emails, contacts, photos, or location. There is no chat or social feature.
🧒 Ads are limited to kid-appropriate (G-rated), non-personalized formats, and purchases sit behind a parental gate.
Melon Patch ("the App") is developed and published by Coral Cove Software LLC ("we", "us"), a Washington, USA company. This policy explains what information is and is not handled when you play Melon Patch, and applies to the App on both iOS and Android.
Information we do not collect
The App has no user accounts and no login. We do not collect, request, or store:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Contacts, photos, or files
- Precise location
- Microphone or camera data (the App requests neither permission)
- Messages of any kind — the App contains no chat or social features
Game progress stays on your device
Your garden, collection book, in-game currencies, and settings are saved locally on your device. Deleting the App deletes this data. We cannot see it, and we cannot restore it — it never leaves your device.
Services the App uses
Like most mobile games, Melon Patch uses a small number of third-party services to show ads, deliver purchases, fix crashes, and understand how the game is played. These services may process limited technical data (such as device model, operating system version, IP address, and non-persistent identifiers) as described in their own policies:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — serves ads inside the App. We configure AdMob to serve non-personalized, child-appropriate (G-rated) ads only, using Google's tools for child-directed treatment. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat (purchases) — processes purchase receipts so your purchases are delivered and can be restored. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and store receipt data, never your payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play (payments) — all payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment information.
- PostHog (analytics) — receives anonymous gameplay events (for example, session length or which features are used) so we can improve the game. We do not send advertising identifiers or personal information to analytics.
- Sentry (crash reporting) — if the App crashes, technical details of the crash (device model, OS version, and the error itself) are reported so we can fix it.
- Expo Application Services (app updates) — the App periodically checks for updated game content, which involves standard web-request data such as IP address.
Children's privacy
Melon Patch is designed to be enjoyed by families, including children. We take this seriously:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the App is built not to collect personal information from anyone.
- Advertising is configured for child-directed treatment: non-personalized, G-rated ad content only, with no behavioral profiling.
- All purchases are protected by a parental gate, and payment itself requires the device's store authentication (and, where enabled, parental approval such as Ask to Buy or Family Link).
- Notifications are local reminders scheduled on the device (for example, when a Giant melon is ready) — we operate no push-notification servers.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's personal information has somehow been collected, contact us at contact@coralcovesoftware.com and we will address it promptly.
Your choices
- Ads: optional "rewarded" ads only ever play when you choose to watch them. The one-time "Remove Ads" purchase removes the App's occasional between-moments ads entirely.
- Data deletion: uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored game data. For data processed by the services above, their policies describe deletion practices; contact us and we will help direct any request.
- Purchases: can be restored through the store on a new device via the App's restore option.
Data retention
We retain nothing ourselves — we operate no servers that store player data. Third-party services listed above retain technical data according to their own published policies.
Changes to this policy
If the App's data practices change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted in the App's store listing release notes.
